A meeting of the Chairs' Committee will be held at 10.00 a.m. on Friday 28th May 2010 at Endeavour House, Exeter to consider the following matters.

Any papers listed as "to follow", urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

  1. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  2. Declarations of Interest
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests which are required to be published in the minutes of this meeting.
  3. Items Requiring Urgent Attention
    Items which in the opinion of the Chairman should be considered by the meeting as a matter of urgency.
  4. Minutes
    To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on the 16th April 2010.
  5. Regional Collaboration Update
    Update report from the Chief Executive on the Regional Collaboration Project.
  6. Update on Blueprint
    The Force 'Blueprint' is a model of the overall shape of the Force, the services delivered, how those services are delivered and how the Force is structured, organised and resourced.? The initial project phase considered all the functions the Force undertakes, identifying the level of influence they have on reducing risk and harm to the public, and measuring how often those functions need to be undertaken.? This item provides an update for Members on progress of this Project. Report to Follow.

    Update on the pre-mobilisation work for the Job Evaluation/Job and Grading project and to consider proposed Governance Arrangements.
  10. Update on Current Force Reviews
    Verbal update from the Chief Constable on current reviews taken place within the Force.
  11. Update on Employment Tribunal
    Verbal update from the Chief Constable relating to a current Employment Tribunal.
  12. Chief Constable's PDR Verbal update from the Chairman on the Chief Constable's objectives for the coming year
  13. Consideration to Include the Press and Public
    Recommended that the Agenda item detailed below be considered as an open item.
  14. Review of Risks Allocated to the Chairs' Committee
    This item provides an opportunity for all Members to review the Committee's risks and make proposals for any amendments, on the basis of Committee activities. To Follow.
