A meeting of the Human Resources Committee will be held on 23 November 2010 at 10:30hrs in the Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Exeter, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

  5. Recruitment of Neighbourhood Beat Managers
    The report provides information on monitoring officer vacancies in Neighbourhood Teams and deploying resources.
  6. Equality and Diversity Working Group Annual Update Report
    This Annual Update report provides a summary of the work undertaken by the Diversity & Equality Working Group. This Group was established to provide the Police Authority with assurance that the Force has the appropriate plans and activities in place to ensure it has the trust and confidence of, and reflects the communities it serves.
  7. Equality Act 2010
    The report outlines the impact of the Equality Act in respect of employment matters and details its implementation across the force.

  8. Job Evaluation Update
    This report provides an update on Job Evaluation including an oral update on issues arising from the staff road shows.
  9. Health and Safety Report
    The report provides an update on H&S Action Plan and brief overview of recent key health and safety developments.
  10. HR Advisor to the Authority Update Report
    This oral report will provide an update on items that have arisen since the committee papers were prepared.
  11. Human Resources - Performance Indicators
    The report provides an analysis and commentary on latest HR performance indicators and key people management data.

  12. Attendance Management
    The purpose of this report is to provide the Police Authority with an update on attendance management, illustrating improvements made as a result of the significant effort to more effectively manage attendance, and to outline the work which is currently underway to further improve attendance levels.
  13. Director of Human Resources Update Report
    The Director of Human Resources will provide an update on important items that have arisen since the Committee papers were prepared.
  14. Implications of the Comprehensive Spending Review
    The report gives details of the impact on workforce numbers due to the Comprehensive Spending Review.
