Human Resources Committee Meeting

Tuesday 4 September 2012

A meeting of the Human Resources Committee will be held on Tuesday 4 September 2012, at 14:00 hrs in Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Pynes Hill, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Meeting Agenda

  1. Appointment of Chair and Vice Chair
    At the meeting of the Police Authority on 15 June 2012 it was decided that existing Chairs and Vice Chairs would continue in office until 15 November 2012.
  2. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  3. Declarations of Interest
    To receive any declarations from Members/Officers of personal and/or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests.
  4. Chairman’s Announcements
    The Chairman will announce any matters of information for members of the Authority.  There is no discussion and no decisions will be required arising from the announcements.
  5. Minutes and actions from the last meeting
    To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 23 May 2012 as a correct record.  The update action log covering the meetings since September 2011 is appended for information.

  6. Human Resources Performance Indicators
    This report provides a range of management information relating to the force’s people, based around key risks, and includes performance indicators alongside qualitative commentary on current position and management actions.

  11. Assurance Report from Human Resources Committee – August 2012
    This report provides an update on the work of the HR Committee over the previous 12 month period, and highlights those matters that will be taken forward as “Legacy” issues into the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC).
