A meeting of the Performance Management Committee will be held on Wednesday 8th September 2010 at 10:00 in the Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Exeter to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.
This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.
Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  4. Declarations of Interests
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests.
  5. Minutes and actions from last meeting
    To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on 9 June 2010 as a correct record and receive an update on the actions arising.
  6. Performance Report
    A report and presentation providing details of Force performance towards the Policing Plan targets for the year to date.

  7. Mid Year Review of Policing Plan Targets
    It is appropriate to review the targets set by the Police Authority earlier this year to ensure they continue to remain relevant and prioritise Force activity appropriately. This is particularly relevant now given the Government’s changes to the national police performance landscape. Paper to follow.
  8. The Future of performance management arrangements for the Police Authority
    The Police Authority is reviewing its meeting structure to enable it to strengthen its scrutiny and performance management roles whilst ensuring work is aligned to best meet the ambitions set out in the Police Authority’s Strategic Plan.
    Members will be provided with a verbal update on the latest developments in this review and in particular how this may affect the work of this Committee.
  9. Protective Services Working Group Update Report
    This report provides a summary of the work undertaken by the Protective Services Working Group. This Group was established to provide the Police Authority with assurance that the Force has the appropriate plans and activities in place to protect communities from serious harm.
  10. National Crime Recording Standard and National Standard of Incident Recording compliance update
    An update on Force performance for crime and incident recording compliance. Report to follow.
