Professional Standards and Complaints Monitoring Committee Meeting - Wednesday 6 April 2011

A meeting of the Professional Standards and Complaints Monitoring Committee will be held on Wednesday 6 April 2011, at 10:00 hrs in to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.

  8. Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) Referrals 07.02.11 to 16.03.11
    This report shows all incidents referred to by the IPCC by the Professional Standards Department in the above period.

  9. IPCC Statistics
    In March 2011 the IPCC published statistics regarding complaints they had dealt with during 2009-10. This agenda item is to give Members the opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any issues that arose from looking at the statistics.
  10. Direction and Control Complaints
    The Force is required to record and address complaints about its service provision. This report gives a quarterly update on this type of complaint.

  11. Professional Standards Quarterly Performance
    The report provides headline data and narrative surrounding the most recent set of quarterly performance figures for complaints up to and including February 2011.

  12. Report outlining the suspension of Officer process
    The purpose of the report is to outline the process that is followed when an Officer or member of support staff is suspended from duty.

  13. Consideration to exclude the Press and Public from Closed Items
    Items which may be considered by the Committee with only Members of the Police Authority, appropraite Officers and expert advisors present, on the ground that exempt/confidential information may be disclosed.
  14. Suspended and Restricted duties personnel
    The report provides information on a number of Force personnel currently suspended from duty or having restrictions imposed upon their duties.
