Protective Services Committee Meeting - Friday 14 January 2011

A meeting of the Protective Services Committee will be held on Friday 14 January 2011, at 10:00 hrs in Amenity Suite, Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, Exeter. to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.

    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests.

  4. Protective Services Committee Work Plan and Terms of Reference
    The report presents the newly formed Protective Services Committee with a proposed work plan, based on the Authority’s delivery plan 2010-13.  This plan covers the next twelve months and will direct the activities of the Committee.  The document aims to be inclusive of all relevant Committee information; the Terms of Reference and allocated risks are contained within it.

  5. Dates of Future Meetings
    Recommendation: that the following dates for meetings of the Protective Services Committee be approved:
    • Thursday 7th April 2011
    • Tuesday 14th June 2011
    • Thursday 28th July 2011
    • Tues 20th September 2011
    • Tues 1st November 2011
  6. Consideration to Exclude the Press and Public
    Closed Items (Items which may be considered by the Committee with only members of the Police Authority, appropriate Officers and expert advisors present, on the grounds that exempt / confidential information may be disclosed).
  7. Protective Services Minimum Standards
    To give a brief overview of the current position within Devon and Cornwall Constabulary with regard to Protective Services Minimum Standards.
