Protective Services Committee Meeting - Thursday 7 April 2011

A meeting of the Protective Services Committee will be held on Thursday 7 April 2011, at 10:00 hrs in Conference Room, Devon & Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  2. Declarations of Interests
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests.
  3. Chairman’s Announcements
    To include consideration of the Police Authority Risk Register.
  4. Minutes and actions of the last meeting
    To confirm the minutes of the meetings held on 14th January 2011 as a correct record; the action log from the meeting is appended for information.

  5. Policing of Protests

    The report provides information on the Force approach to dealing with protests and demonstrations.

  6. Exercise Watermark
    The report gives information regarding Police involvement in the recent national flooding exercise.
  7. Roads Policing
    This report outlines the position in respect of Roads Policing as a Protective Service covering the sufficiency of resources required to address the risk/threats and the impact of the Blueprint and A19 to deliver.
  8. Child Sexual Offences Disclosure Scheme
    This report provides information on the Child Sex Offender Disclosure Scheme which became active in Devon and Cornwall on 31 March 2011 and the possible impact on the Force.
