Protective Services Committee Meeting - Friday 14 September 2012

A meeting of the Protective Services Committee will be held on Friday 14 September 2012, at 14:30 hrs in Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Pynes Hill, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Meeting Agenda

  1. Appointment of Chair and Vice Chair
    At the meeting of the Police Authority on 15 June 2012 it was decided that existing Chairs and Vice Chairs would continue in office until 15 November 2012.
     
  2. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  3. Declarations of Interests
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests

  7. Protective Services Equality Standard Update
    This report provides examples of good practice from the Crime and Justice and Operations Support portfolios around the use of the Equality Standard for the Police Service (ESPS).

  11. Committee Legacy Report - Report to Follow

    Closed Items (Items which may be considered by the Committee with only members of the Police Authority, appropriate Officers and expert advisors present, on the grounds that exempt / confidential information may be disclosed)
  13. Activity against Protective Services Minimum Standards and Transition to Strategic Policing Requirement
    This report presents a summary of the position of the Devon and Cornwall Police against the Protective Services Minimum Standards in order to provide an update to the final meeting of the Police Authority Protective Services Committee and reassurance of continued governance and monitoring into the future.
