Strategic Planning and Co-Ordination Committee Meeting - Tuesday 28 June 2011

A meeting of the Strategic Planning and Co-Ordination Committee will be held on Tuesday 28 June 2011, at 14:00 hrs in Devon & Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Exeter. to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

This meeting will be broadcast live on the Internet and recorded for future viewing.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Meeting Agenda

  1. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  2. Declarations of Interest
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests which are required to be published in the minutes of this meeting.
  3. Items Requiring Urgent Attention
    (a) If there is any urgent business arising since the formal agenda was published, the Chair will announce this and give reasons why he/she has agreed to consider it at this meeting.
    (b) Items to be taken under Urgency Procedures
    Items that require a decision but cannot wait until the next meeting of the relevant committee.
  4. Consideration to Exclude the Press and Public
    Closed Items (Items which may be considered by the Authority with only members of the Police Authority, appropriate Officers and expert advisors present, on the grounds that exempt / confidential information may be disclosed).
     
  5. New Roles within the Crime Investigation Function
    This report outlines the Force position in respect of the Crime Investigation Function, and the implications for Civilian Crime Investigators.
  6. Redundancy in Relation to the Switchboard Operator function
    This report provides Members with an update on the proposed changes to the Switchboard Operator function, and the implications for Switchboard Operators. 
  7. Overview of all Formal Consultations in Relation to Redundancies
    This report provides Members with an update on the progress of all consultations in relation to redundancies.
