Strategic Planning and Co-Ordination Committee Meeting - Tuesday 13 March 2012

A meeting of the Strategic Planning and Co-Ordination Committee will be held on Tuesday 13 March 2012, at 10:30 hrs in Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Pynes Hill, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Meeting Agenda

  1. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting. 
  2. Declarations of Interest
    To receive any declarations from Members/officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests which are required to be published in the minutes of this meeting. 
  3. Items Requiring Urgent Attention
    a)  If there is any urgent business arising since the formal agenda was published, the Chair will announce this and give reasons why he/she has agreed to consider it at this meeting. 
     
    b) As a result of the decisions taken at the Police Authority meeting of 16 December, 2011, in relation to Business Planning, items which require decisions before the next scheduled meeting of the relevant committee will be brought to the Strategic Planning and Co-ordination Committee for consideration; decisions made will be notified to the Police Authority.
    • Item 12 (Estates Programme) will be considered in Part 2 as the next meeting of the Resources Committee is not scheduled until 18 May, 2012.

  7. Devon and Cornwall Police Authority Draft Local Policing Plan 2012 - 2015
    The Local Policing Plan has been developed by a Working Group of Members and Force staff over recent months.  Members of the Committee have been provided with a web-based version of the Plan for consideration.  The Committee is asked to approve the Plan for publication.

  8. Consideration to Exclude the Press and Public

  11. Estates Programme
    This report presents recommendations for consideration in relation to items in the Estates Programme which require decisions before the next meeting of the Resources Committee
  12. Appointment of a Temporary Deputy Chief Constable
    This report outlines possible options in relation to the post of Temporary Deputy Chief Constable, following Home Office approval of the appointment of the Temporary Chief Constable.
