Strategic Planning and Co-Ordination Committee Meeting - Wednesday 7 November 2012

A meeting of the Strategic Planning and Co-Ordination Committee will be held on Wednesday 7 November 2012, at 14:00 hrs in Conference Room, Devon and Cornwall Police Authority, Endeavour House, Woodwater Park, Pynes Hill, Exeter to which you are requested to attend, to consider the items as detailed on the Agenda given below.

Any papers listed as “to follow”, urgent items or supplementary papers will be made available as soon as possible and in any event at least 30 minutes before the start of the meeting.

Meeting Agenda

  1. Apologies for Absence
    To receive apologies for absence from Members unable to attend the meeting.
  2. Declarations of Interest
    To receive any declarations from Members / Officers of personal and / or prejudicial interests in respect of matters for consideration at this meeting, together with the appropriate statement on the nature of any such declared interests which are required to be published in the minutes of this meeting.

    If there is any urgent business arising since the formal agenda was published, the Chair will announce this and give reasons why he/she has agreed to consider it at this meeting.
     
    3(b) Items to be taken under Urgency Procedures
    As a result of the decisions taken at the Police Authority meeting of 28 September 2012, in relation to Business Planning, items which require decisions following the final meeting of the Police Authority, including all urgent items, will be considered at the final meeting of SPCC.

  10. HMIC – Lessons Learned
    Following consideration of the HMIC report “Lessons Learned” at the meeting of SPCC on 16 October 2012, this report presents an update on current Force processes for dealing with similar sensitive and challenging situations.

    This report presents the proposed contract for the renewal of forensic services.

    This report provides an opportunity for Members to consider the issues relating to the notifying and managing potentially high profile incidents under the PCC.
  19. Report on the inclusion of the Directors, and of the Chief Executive and Treasurer of the Police Authority within Job Evaluation
    The Chairman will provide an oral update on the inclusion of the Directors, and of the Chief Executive and Treasurer of the Police Authority within Job Evaluation
