South West Police Authorities Joint Committee (SWPAJC)

The five Police Authorities in the South West of England share a common vision to

Make the South West safer and increase public confidence in policing by collaborating, so that individually and collectively we become even more efficient and effective.

Our shared vision is supported by a shared mission which commits us to collaborating closely, both operationally and as organisations, so that individually and collectively our Forces are more effective and efficient, making the South West safer and the public more confident.

We have put in place new governance and programme management arrangements to help us manage our expanding portfolio of joint initiatives, including the creation of the South West Police Authorities Joint Committee (SWPAJC) of five police authorities, Avon and Somerset, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, to determine and then monitor our collaborative ventures.
